In the navy weaponry, torpedo plays a quite important role and is one of the keystone weapons all the time that navies are developing. In the torpedo system, the power component is core part. Therefore, enhancing precise, fast and automatic detection ability of the torpedo power component has a significant effect on the production of torpedo weapon and development of military.During early stage, the method to detect the power component is by manual. The method has some disadvantages, e.g., the volume of the equipment is huger and the efficiency of detection is lower. It does not keep up with the quick development of the detection of torpedo power component. With the development of computer technology, automatic detection system appeared, which has overcome some shortcoming of manual detection system. In this paper, we use bi-machine structural system to implement automatical detection of the power component of torpedo. In our system, NIOS processor takes charge of the whole control function and the remote control computer carries on data processing and offers man-machine interface, etc.we discuss in detail the design and realization of the detection system XX of torpedo power components based on NIOS. In the system, NIOS CPU controls the magnitude of output voltage of program-controlled powers, the creation of manipulated instruction, the state of simulation loading connected with every output of torpedo power components, and selection and gathering of signals to detect.In this paper, we also elaboratedly analyze and study some key technology which appears in the design of system hardware, including the test of middle-frequency sine wave's distortion degree, the realization of data storing for fast-data gathering, security of the testing system and reliability of design. We carefully investigate the requirement, realization method and effect of employing them.At the same time, we also introduce the design and implementation method of main module of the system software.The designed system can detect expected parameters of torpedo power component automatically, the procedure is continuous or single step. According to corresponding standard, the estimation for detecting data is real-timely made.Meanwhile, the system comes into being test records and detecting report automatically. The application in practice demonstrates that our designed torpedo power component detection system has some advantages, such as flexiability, stabilization, easy maintenance and high efficiency.
