Storage Network File Organization System Design And Realization

Currently, alone with the rapid development of the computer technology and extensive application of the computer network, many enterprises have presented more and more requirements to the storage network. The Storage Area Network(SAN) is the mainstream technique among many solutions for Storage Network. It has not only offered rich, rapid and convenient resource for application system in Internet, but also centralized the management of storage device, which has made it become to an ideal pattern of storage management. Many big oversea corporations consider SAN as a solution of network storage in the future, and unfold many researches and developing work. I had done a full research in SAN and some technologies related, and according the project that I had participated designed a heterogeneous network storage sharing system. Now the production of the project has put into practice. This paper summarizes my research work and outcomes, which includes:1) Presented a solution of the heterogeneous network storage sharing system for SAN, which was based the analyzing of storage network's architecture and elements.2) Brought forward several optimizing methods, such as asynchronous I/O mode, I/O buffering and double buffers. These make the system more efficient to share the SAN storage sub-system.3) Realized the sharing system on the platform of Linux, so that we achieved the goal that it can run safely on many systems like as UNIX, Linux, Solaris and Windows and so on.
