The rate of line loss is an important symbol of levels of operation management for the modern power supply corporate. It's very meaningful to strengthen line loss management in order to save the power. The theoretical calculation of line loss plays very important roles in daily operation of power supply corporate, which is also the guidance for line loss management. Therefore, the research and development of the theoretical calculation system of line loss is always treated as one of the most important task for the line loss management. With the rich experiences of line loss management work as well as the computer knowledge, author was involved in the project of "calculation system of theoretical line loss in power supply grid", and applied this system to the real world.This article first introduced the system research content and the main innovation spot.And then, this article introduces the basic line loss principles and its relevant norms, which helps readers to understand the meanings of theoretical calculation of line loss. Besides this, this article introduces the mathematical principles of theoretical calculation of line loss, and analyses the procedure of calculation and different methodologies of theoretical calculation.After has carried on the strict demand analysis, The paper in detail has analyzed "calculation system of theoretical line loss in power supply grid" design and the performance history in the fourth chapter. First has analyzed the system core algorithm - integral point load algorithm design process, Including its mathematical model and work step. Finally has carried on in the algorithm analysis and the application analysis to this method, and has carried on in the correlation technology comparison with the similar software, integral point load algorithm has combined load rate with the traditional theoretical calculation methodologies: because the wire loss is the function of the square of the load rate (△W=3I2Rt × 10-3), if it is calculated based on the square root of load rate, the error will be increased. Therefore, the measurement and calculation of integral point load should be adapted. The users may layout the whole line or each voltage converters, even the load patterns of each categorized power meter, with response to different requirements of precision. By doing this, the theoretical value of line loss is more accurate, and more close to the real value. Next has analyzed the system structure design, the module design and the database design.The advantages of this system are the improvements of the accuracy and the speed of theoretical line loss measurement and calculation rooted from the integral point load algorithm. The complexity of the algorithm is only related to the complexity of the number of nodes and the configuration of power grid;besides this, the accuracy could be set depended on the different grids and cases. The disadvantages are the much more prophase preparations of material with the higher accuracy of core algorithm requirements. Specifically, when users need to do the precise calculation for one line, they have to know the load situation of all the area.In chapter 5, the paper has analyzed the system each function realization and the characteristic, and emphasizes its unique specialties. Meanwhile has carried on this system application situation the full demonstration.This calculation software of the line loss theory is continuously improved. With the widespread of the automation in power distribution, the theoretical calculation is much more closer to the real value of line loss, which provides the line management with more precise information. In the end, this article carrys on the summary and the appraisal to the "calculation system of theoretical line loss in power supply grid" ,and then lays out a fabulous future of the system with the development of science and technology.
