In many application areas, such as military spy, astronomical observation, high performance photography, the dynamic range of solid image device (such as CCD and CMOS image sensor) is very important. But conventional CCD and CMOS image sensor cannot meet the demand of high dynamic range imaging. So it has great significance to study and develop a real-time, wide adjust range, low cost and convenience technology to extend the dynamic range of digital imaging.In this paper, the technology of extending the dynamic of digital imaging is firstly introduced. On the basis of present methods, the LCoS projection display technology is applied to extend the dynamic range of digital imaging. We present system scheme and introduce the system's elements, explain the system principle in detail.The experiment of combining and reconstructing image was carried through the method of Spatial Varying Pixel Exposure (SVE). Experimental results are provided, including digital camera images that have different switch speed. Experiment through the LCoS system was carried and satisfied results were got.In the end of this paper, adaptive feedback controlling method is introduced. The principle is analyzed and the feedback algorithm is put forward. The pixel corresponding between LCoS and CMOS and image smoothing was also implemented. Experimental results are provided finally.
