Along with the extensive application of the distributed system and the booming development of the Object Oriented technolgy, the application domain of the software system based on distributed object becomes widely used. The distributed object, the basic unit of this kind of system, plays an important role in designing, realizing and running this kind of system. In order to guarantee the quality of running this kind of system, we must improve the quality of the distributed object. Entirely testing the distributed object is one of the most important methods to improve its quality, and makes it very important to develop the research of testing theories, methods and technolgy.《The Tax Administrative System》 adopted the C/S mode, it is carried out by the usage of object oriented language. It includes numerous distributed object, and how to carry on the valid testing is an urgent problem to be solved.The distributed object is the product of the combination of the distributed system and the object oriented methodology .The distributed system is the environment that the distributed object has to depend on, and the object oriented technolgy is the foundation that the distributed object has to depend on.When we research the testing technolgy of the distributed object, we have to fully analyze both their characteristics and the new combined characteristic. From this way, we can get the basic the characteristic of the distributed object and the basic contents of the distributed object testing, then we can get the related test theories and methods.This paper analyzed the shortage of the models and the methods of traditional software testing, detailed analyzed the exterior environment and inside characteristics of the distributed object. According to the process in carrying out the distributed object, it put forward the testing model and the TSMDOT (the Three Steps Method of Distributed Object Testing) method of the distributed object. That is to say, we have to carry on local testing, cooperation testing, particularly testing and so on to the distributed object according to the actually applied system. The TSM_DOT provides detailed contents of the testing item, step, method etc. at each stage.At the same time, as a component part of the software testing, we must follow the general theory, standard and the process managements of the software testing, and create the associated text file to improve the standardization, the efficiency and the effect of the distributed object testing when we use the TSM_DOT.During the testing process of the distributed object in 《The Tax Administrative System》 , we chiefly carry on local and cooperation testing, then lay particular emphasis on carrying on the particular testing, and fully carry on testing on the design and realizations of the distributed object in the light of the characteristics of the system and the distributed object in system . We find many defects at an early stage, and guarantee the function quality of the distributed object in the system.
