With the speed-up of economic globalization, we have witnessed the rapid development of across-industry, across-region and transnational virtual enterprises as well as the profound changes in the enterprise environment. Because many complicated products must be cooperative designed by product design personnel and other related personnel in different places, the distributed cooperative design technology emerges as the times require and its importance has been increasingly recognized by the industry. And the rapid development of computer network technology just provides the preconditions for the development and application of the distributed cooperative design technology.The group enterprise is an economic coalition which is composed of many enterprises and institutions in accordance with their property relations and multiple production and operation methods on the basis of high development of modern enterprise system, its main parts are mother company and its affiliates. It is characterized by large scale, multi-directional operation, pluralistic members and disperse lay-out, and has rather high requirements for resources management and efficiency enhancement. Therefore, it is necessary to construct a flexible and efficient cooperative design platform by network technology in a group enterprise to achieve better information, application and process cooperative among its members in order to improve work efficiency, strengthen internal enforcement, speed up market response and increase competitive strength of the group enterprise.In this paper the author makes a study of several crucial issues in the cooperative design of a group enterprise, and on the basis of this study, system development and application has been carried out in close cooperation with the actual requirements in cooperative design of CNHTCproducts. The main content of the paper includes as in the following:1. The author makes a discussion about coordinated management mode focused on product data, which is applicable for a group enterprise. Under the situations and actual requirements of CNHTC and in connection with actually developed cooperative design system, she puts forward data model focused on BOM and makes a further discussion about the integrated method of BOM model and process route model. Then the author constructs an integrated cooperative design model of manufacture BOM, trial plan, production preparation and other related links so as to make a better support for the entire process of product design. She also introduces the specific application of BOM model in cooperative design.2. Focusing on the crux of cooperative design, CAD cooperative design environment, the author makes a discussion about several crucial technologies. First, she summarizes the objective of CNHTC to construct CAD cooperative design environment. Then in accordance with the objective, she expounds the method of constructing CAD cooperative design environment from standardized customization, process management, data consistency control and support for TOPDOWN design method. In close cooperation with the mature business software Intra-Link, she introduces how to perform secondary development and customization and construct CAD cooperative design environment applicable to the enterprises in accordance with the enterprise requirements.3. From the point of system construction and materialization, she introduces the strength in making use of J2EE platform to construct a cooperative design platform and explores the possibility of the transition of original C/S cooperative design system to J2EE platform. And she also introduces the result of her primary research in J2EE, network version of process route system.On the basis of various model, method and technology discussed above, the author has taken charge of developing several relevant systems which are currently used in cooperative design of CNHTC.
