As eyes of auto'mation, Computer Vision has made great progress and is widely applying to many aspects, such as Medicine Image Processing and Remote Sensing Image processing, industry inspection and file manipulation ete。 In recent years, Computer Vision has been drawing people's attention, and forming a new inspection technology — — Automated Visual Inspection(AVI)technology 。 AVI technology is a automated inspection technology with promising future, and it can achieve the purpose of intelligentized, flexible, rapid and low cost。 Based on Computer Vision method, it is an untouched inspection method which uses image processing, pattern recognition and artifical intelligence synthetically。 By analyzing the object image which computer vision system gets, we can get the measure information what we need, and we can judge that the measured objects are up to the mustard or not by the transcendent knowledge that we had。 ECM electronic component recognition system is an example of Automated Visual Inspection technology。 In the system, optical pickup camera is used as an information capture equipment。 We can recognize the electronic component by untouching way, at the same time we can intelligentizedly inspect the electronic component。 In contrast to manual inspection, computer vision inspection not only can improve the work efficiency, but also can reduce the production cost and lighten the worker's labour intensity。The development of ECM electronic component recognition system and the result of test in practice are introduced in the thesis。 The basic concepts and developing condition of computer vision are introduced in the first place。 At the same time we introduce the basic concepts and means of image analyzing, image processing and pattern recognition。 Then, composing and function of ECM electronic component recognition system are introduced。 The developing process and the realizing method are detailedly introduced。 And inthis part we emphatically introduce the color histogram arithmetic and other arithmetic that we used in the course of system realization?
