Although the traditional PSTN telephone network based on TDM can provide the service at the rate of 64kb/s, its services and control must be completed by switcher.However,although the technology may ensure good voice quality,its offer to new service need much longer period and cannot deal with increasing market.Compared with voice telecommunication,IP network communication is increasing incrediblely,whose bandwidth is increasing more rapid than voice communication.Advancing voice service over IP network may also reduce cost.At the same time,data service over IP is advancing much more rapidly than voice service.As a result,the PSTN voice network must be integrated into package data network,which come into being the next generation network(NGN).But because of some reasons,there is no very good softswitch in business field,which urge us research into how we have existing telecom network transform into softswitch network. In this dissertation,we put forward a universal software architecture,which is based on softswitch network.The software architecture implements primary software part of primary components in softswitch network,such as softswitch equipment, Signaling gateway,media Gateway. Softswitch is a kind of function entity,which provide NGN with call-control and connection-control of real-time.It is centre of calling and control of NGN.Call-route deal with the transaction that when we call others, the softswitch must locate the called.So call-route module is very import in VOIP, and whether its design good or not is pertinent to normal calling of user and the time of connecting. Based on the solve project,we may implement a experimental softswitch network through the softswitch architecture with some hardware.So it may settle down the base for the future ripe business application of softswitch network. In the paper,we make ues of a tree data struct to query phone number,which improve the efficiency of calling phone.And we also design and implement the white-black list, phone number transforming and dynamic call-route.
