The Study And Realization Of Softswitch-Based Enterprise-Scaled VOIP Service System

Softswitch, which is based of the idea of separating configuration between control and media, is one of the core equipment of NGN (Next Generation Network). Its emerge put another complexion on the traditional service providing mode, which is based of the circuit switch mode and has a lot of limitations such as inconvenient maintain, long developing cycle and heavy cost of new services. Furthermore, AS (Application Server) and service APIs are joined to the Softswitch configuration, which greatly enhances the providing and managing capability of NGNS (Next Generation Network Service). At present, the utilization of Softswitch is mainly in long-distance IP telephone, the application of Softswitch in enterprise scale and the value-added services based APIs is one of the study focus in this field.Firstly, the paper makes an analysis and study on the present Softswitch-based service system, and on the base of the value-added service configuration, the paper gives a new arrangement of service system which includes the service control layer. Then, the paper makes a deep inside into the creating and managing of the Softswitch-based services, and gives the flow chart of the simple VOIP service and Parlay API-based VOIP value-added services.The other emphasis of this paper is the analysis, design and realization of the AAA system which is situated in the control layer of the service system.
