Up to now, the normal control mode for smart power integrated circuit (SPIC) isPWM and PFM. PWM bases on CFVW (Constant Frequency Variable Width) controlpulse, whereas, PFM bases on CWVF (Constant Width Variable Frequency) controlpulse. PWM converter has low efficiency with light loads and high amplitudeharmonic. On the other hand, the control circuit and filter for PFM are much complex.PSM (Pulse Skip Modulation) which bases on CWCF (Constant Width ConstantFrequency) control pulse is a novel modulation which firstly proposed by our projectgroup, this kind modulation mode operates in constant width and constant frequencymode (CWCF) which differs from the fore two. The PSM theory includes The statespace average mode and the large signal mode of PSM; big signal resolution mode,discrete iterative mode and phase plane mode. The work shows that PSM converterwould improve its efficiency and suppress EMI and that it also has many virtuesincluding quick response speed, strong interference rejection and strong robust andthat it is easy to realize.The author of the dissertation has an honor to participate the PSM work, withhelp offered by tutor, the author pay a lot efforts which focus on studying modelingthe PSM algorithm, include:1). the optimized PSM algorithm basing on the fuzzy control theory. Based on the fuzzy control theory and fuzzy system design way, the PSM switching system is designed in order to better the overshoot and wave ripple of output voltage.2). the PSM algorithm optimized by state machine. By the robust adjust ability, the duty ratio and the skipped number are calculated through detecting the load.3). The PSM algorithm. The algorithm is designed by PSM modulation principle and the work aims at acquiring the behavior of PSM and bettering it.Besides, the dissertation study the nonlinear behavior of PSM, the research of thenonlinear behavior focuses on the study on the chaos of PSM switching convertersystem basing on the discrete model of PSM.Basing on the PSM algorithm, a switching converter system realized by FPGA isdesigned, which include pure PSM algorithm, the PSM algorithm optimized by statemachine and the optimized PSM algorithm basing on the fuzzy control theory.
