The application of the radio communication technology is more universal as the development of the microelectronics technology. Because of the excellent secrecy and anti-jamming ability, Frequency-Hopping Spread Spectrum (FHSS) technology is of great importance in military domain and of great value in research and development. This work was supported by China Electronics Technology Group Corporation No.50 Institute under Project the Military Holding Frequency-hopping Radio. The auther was responsible for implementation receiver part of the subject. The receiver has a superheterodyne structure with twice conversions. And the front-end circuits designed for a small-sized structure by superposing. The RF preselector circuits are a programmable section-filter. In this superheterodyne receiver the demodulator circuit used MOTOROLA's MC3372 device to recover the intelligence impressed on the radio carrier. In receiver system development, there are some innovations in the design of high performance and small-sized structure, also in the circuitry realization. The paper begins with the deep analysis of the usually receiver's structure and the key parameters. Subsequently, author presents the system structures of hardware. Then, the system scheme analysis and proof, implementation of each functional unit, some questions paid more attention in system design and debug are discussed in detail. The ultimate testing results of this subject are represented at last. Finally, with respect to the problems in debugging and testing process, author does some analyzing and presents the practical solutions.
