This project of the UHF (Ultra High Frequency) Data & Frequency Hopping Transceiver is developed for the new generation of tactical radio of the army. The transceiver is required to be easily upgraded and maintained, and to communicate with the current tactical transceiver. The wave parameters of the transceiver can be set through the software, and the working parameters can be repeatedly configured. This thesis mainly studies the baseband of the UHF Data & Frequency Hopping Transceiver,and puts forward a kind of technology mechanism which is suitable for the requirement by referring to the architecture of the software radio and the level of the current technology. Some useful study results are obtained. In the process of the study of the baseband unit, the thesis firstly brieves the basic theories and methods of the baseband, and focuses on the key units: RS Channel Coding and Decoding, Interpolating and extracting filter of the signal, Correlative detecting of the m sequence, etc., and to explain the realizable process of the digital signal algorithm by software simulation. All these provide the engineering development with the supports. On the base of the analysis of the theories, and by reasonably designing the AD/DA circuits, a type of the model of the baseband transceiver is put forward. In the end, the baseband is debugged and tested, and the circuits of the baseband transceiver work well. Furthermore, the correctness of the design of the baseband is validated.
