The application of radar has expanded most other domains fast since it has been invented in Second World War. The receiver is an important part of radar. In military, radar has become mare and more important. A highly precise radar has been arranged in Alaskan by American to follow and identify long-range missile that could attack U.S. local. American Special Forces'commander's headquarters is devising a new type of carrying radar to obtain accurate data while proceeding ground test. In civil, the main requirement of receiver is Wireless Communication System, especial the Second Generation, Third Generation and satellite communication system. This paper discussed detailedly the principle, design and test work on the critical devices of front-end receiver. Together six chapters are as follows: the first chapter initiates simply this subject background, meaning, domestic and oversea development and the main work; the second chapter initiates simply receiver principle, function of many receiver parts and several forms of receiver; the third chapter introduces the devise indicator and requisition of LNA, then gives design process of use Agilent's ADS software and test data of the frequency range 9~10GHz high gain and low noise LNA; the fourth chapter introduces detailedly the mixer principle and indicator, and gives this mixer design process and test data; the fifth chapter exhaust the switcher function and theory and gives a SPDT's imitate design data; the last chapter is paper concluding remarks,which sums the paper work, At the same time, and bring forward the latter task.
