With the wide application of wireless mobile equipments and the need of realtime traffic, at the same time of establishing the route by the routing protocol, how toprovide QoS to clients become more and more strigent. In the paper, we introduceWMPLS into Ad Hoc Networks and propose a novel routing protocol—AMPLS-QoS,which can provide not only end-to-end quality of service (QoS) support, but alsonetworks resource management.Mobile Ad Hoc Networks is a mobile, multi-hop and self-organized wirelessnetworks. Network topology's dynamically changeing, undirectional channel'sexisting, finite wireless transmission bandwidth and the capacity's limit of mobileterminal all require the QoS model is simple and efficient. So the paper adopts theDiiffServ as the QoS model and divides the traffic into best effort traffic andexpedited forwarding traffic. But DiffServ can not offer end-to-end QoS by itself, because it controls per-hop packet forwarding order with relative priority according toits class and does not consider the routing. So DiffServ requires other mechanismespecaiaaly for routing to achieve end-to-end QoS. The paper introducesconstraint-based routing mechanism to realize the end-to-end QoS guarantee in termsof bandwidth and end-to-end delay to establish the QoS routing that meets the QoSrequirement. So it not only solves the QoS problem in commulication, but alsoprovides excellent network management function by combining the constraint-basedrouting mechanism and DiffServ model. The paper is organized as follows: section 1 presents the characteristic of AdHoc Networks and WMPLS's key thchnologies; section 2 introduces theconstraint-based routing mechanism and focuses on the network resourcemanagement technology in section 3; section 4 discusses the method of building asimulation model; Finally, provides a discussion of results in section 5.
