Embedded Real-Time Database Management System is a newtechnology of data management rising in recent years. Based on maturedatabase technology and special embedded device, it implements the data'sstorage, organization and management on mobile devices and embeddeddevices.Traditionally, database systems run on large-scale computerequipments including host computer system and all kinds of servers. As thecomputer equipments go smaller and smaller, the database's miniaturizationis urgently. ERTDBMS need to have high reliability and real-time ablilitybecause it usually works on the condition that without people's interference.In this thesis, We discuss some key technologies, including system'sreliability, real-time ablility and the data synchronization. We try toimprove the reliability of ERTDBMS by enrolling the function alternativetransaction model into the ERTDBMS.The transaction model is proposed onfunction alterative characteristic. As the characteristic, transaction scheduleis divided into interior schedule and exterior schedule, which increase thesystems success ratio. We also construct a software development platformfor embedded database and implement a data management on PDA, whichextends its data management through ODBC interface. At last, we researcha real-time concurrency protocol based on value, and make it suit forembedded system by modifying it.The author of this thesis took part in the development of theERTDBMS in the national 863 project, which arms to construct a platformfor embedded software.
