In some applications of modern communication, radar, frequency synthesizerand measurement, frequency multiplier is generally used to generate higher outputfrequency signal in order to get a good signal source which the band width offrequency is wide and the stability is good. Frequency multiplier, as a foundationalelectronic part, is widely applied in various electronic equipment, for example,transmitter, frequency synthesizer, receiver, and so on.This paper mainly researches an active frequency multiplier. The experimentresult indicates, when input the center frequency 1.125GHz signal with power 7dBmand bandwidth 125MHz, the output power is 1.67dBm with the center frequency9GHz and there is power gain -5.33 dBm and bandwidth 650MHz.Through a series of works, including project indication, component choice,circuit design and simulating, circuit implement and last debugging, some valuableresults provided useful references for later relative research and we can think that theactive frequency multiplier of several series must be a kind of effectivefrequency-multipling method.
