Compared with traditional phased array, optically controlling phased array hasmany merit. In this paper, the features of optically controlling phased array and thedevelopment of optically controlling phased array are involved. And the significationand value of studying optically controlling phased array is also mentioned.Optical fiber communication is the foundation of optically controlling phasedarray. So the development level of optical fiber communication influences thedevelopment of optically controlling phased array. The recent progress of opticalfiber communication and the configuration of optical fiber communication systemare introduced in this paper.The feature and realization method for each part of the optical-linking systemare discussed in detail so that a optical-linking system with good performance can beobtained for optically controlling phased array. This paper contains these materialssuch as the futures and types of optical fibers and optical detector and opticalexternal modulator and optical source, the configuration of optical fibercommunication system and the merit of optical fiber communication. This paper alsoincludes the parameter of optical-linking system that is calculated, and the circuitdesigning methods for optical transmitter and external optical modulator. And so on.The circuit that controlled the laser diode in L-band of optical transmitter isdiscussed in detail, that include automated power controlling circuit, and automatedtemperature controlling circuit, matching circuit. The automated power controllingcircuit and the automated controlling circuit are based on the principle of feedback tokeep the certain value. The matching circuit offers a few kinds matching circuitmodel, whose performance directly impacts on the performance of optical-linkingsystem.The theories and realizing method about X-band optical-link system are alsodiscussed in chapter 5. Because the part of the element in X-band optical-link systemare absence at present, the realization of X-band optical-link system have a lot ofdifficult. The key element and the designing circuit are discussed in detail in thispaper.An experimental system of optical transmitter in L-band is designed. Theperformance curves for whole system(include optical receiver system) are shownrespectively.
