Cobol Integrated Development Environment Research And Implementation

The purpose of this thesis is to design and realize a COBOL integrated development environment based on client/sever structure. In this thesis, we analyze the feature of integrated development environment, and give it's schematic implementation. We introduce the system functions constructs of the COBOL integrated development environment.The function of client side is presented simply. This thesis concentrates on designing and realizing the function modules of server side. The function modules are composed of service function, debug function, data transmission function, security certification function and file controlling function. This thesis is concerned with the analysis of central function of the integrated development environment. Using the server parent process as the clue and communication technology between processes, the central function modules of sever side are designed and realized. It is shown that the COBOL integrated development environment can satisfy the requirement of several users to develop COBOL programs in coordination, and provide a friendly development environment with graphics user interface. The further study is to improve the performance of the COBOL integrated development environment.
