Cobol is a kind of oriented-business programming language and produced in the 60s of the 20th century. In 2002, cobol language' s new standard-cobol 2002 was produced. Because of the long history of cobol, the software used by enterprise, government, group of many countries which is developed with cobol is extremely much. For the standard of cobo!2002 and existing cobol software the article inquires to realize cobo12002 integrated development environment.The system is based client/server architecture, client end is windows platform and server end is HP-UX platform.The key point of the article is design and realization technology of the cobo!2002 new development environment' s server system. Therefore the client end is introducted briefly. Regarding server system design and implementation the article discusses several aspects being: Having carried on the analysis of entire server software architecture, explained design and implementation method of the main frame. Having analyzed telegram message(communicated between the client end and the server) format and studied C/S exchanging the information content that mainly is two big categories: command and command executing result. This article classified the message and designed transmission data packet telegram message protocol. The authentication function is a important function of cobo!2002 new development environment. This article has conducted thorough and the thorough to research the PAM authentication architecture and completed this system certification function in this foundation. The debugger is the cobo12002 new development environment' s important constituent. Debugger module function, basic sub- function module, each sub- module calling(called) relations have been carried on detailed design in the article.
