Information Terminal Based On Embedded System Design

It is popular to provide various infomation service on an intelligence terminal by the PSTN (Public Switched Telephone Network). To develop the intelligence terminal, which supports the WEB data traffic technology based on the PSTN, we need make use of the suitable data traffic protocol coinciding with the PSTN consumer line characteristic.The embedded technology fits to develop the intelligence terminal. With the point of view of the function demand, the paper puts forward the hierarchical model from the function model to the bottom model by the means of the from-top-to-bottom blocking design.To meet with the function demand, we design the blocking circuits. The followings are the CPU system blocking circuits, the PSTN network connections blocking circuits, the communication blocking circuits and the man-machine conversation blocking circuits. The uClinux operation system is performed in the system to improve the system reliability and the development efficiency, and exert the ARM7 processor multitask potential. The partial peripheral circuit drivers are compeleted based on the uClinux operation system. The intelligence terminal implements the tekecommunications with the other terminal by the PSTN with the PPP protocol adopted.
