With the implementing of national information fundamental structure, theenterprises need modern information technologies to increase theircompetitive position. The management information system base on data cannot satisfied the demand of decision. Decision-Oriented Datamining system isgrowing up.Data mining is a new technique, which has become increasingly popularin recent years. People can discover valuable rules behind the data that cansupport the science decision. Now data mining has become a subject, whichinvolves lots of science domain and technology such as database, patternrecognition, neural network and computational intelligence. The Web DataMining machine (WebMiner) is the research achivement ofdatamining group in Computational Intelligence laboratory (CIlab). Thepurpose of researching WebMiner is: exploring data mining techniques innetwork environment, especially establishing data mining and knowledgediscover server over the Internet which is cooperated with database server, realizing data mining based on web. The system provides a standardModel-View-Controller (MVC) pattern for developer, helps them get systemstructure easily and separate business logic from view efficiently. So thecomplexity and difficulty of development and maintenance is reduced. It alsoprovides a platform based on Browser/Server technology for people who usethis platform for research. Because there is no need for them to know muchabout the system, they only need to complying with our data object interfaceand mining model interface, new data mining algorithms can be easilyintegrated to our system. In addition, our system is a valuable system skeletonfor data mining application. J2EE specification, Struts framework makes thesystem an open and easy-to -upgrade solution. This article is composed of six chapters. In chapter 1, the authorintroduces the background of data mining and the research issue. The basic...
