This research develops a set of software on dam and engineering slope safe evaluation on the basis of slope stability theory, applying the theories and methods of engineering geol-ogy, rock mechanics,calculating math,computer CAD graph and database,etc. The design of the software fully embodies the practical principal. The general principals of software engineering have been insisted on and systematic development ideas have been embodied during the design.Modern program design technologies and methods have been applied.Current computer development trend has been followed.The system has a user-friendly Interface and a good calculating and analyzing function. The core calculating and analyzing Mold piece of the system applies the Program design language of FORTRAN, which enables the reliability, stability and accuracy.The design applies the idea of facing the target and the Program design language of Visual C++ which embodies the idea. OpenGL is applied to draw 3-D surface graph and isogram. Visulization is realized and the display of slope engineering geometric mode is achieved by communi-cating with AutoCAD. Computer and rock engineering technologies are combined organically, numerical analy-sis and algorithm are completed by applying program witing methods on Windows. The research also studies the inter-use among CAD, Visual C++, FORTRAN, AutoCAD and OpenGL. The research combines theory with practice, studies some key technologies, has a certain degree of technical difficulty and reflects the ability of solving, method and technology. The research has a very good pratical value.It can reduce labor intensity, raise production efficiency, It can raise the data accuracy and reduce decision mistakes. The problems which rock engineering practice faces are complex and changeable.The tailing dam seepage and its stability calculating difficulty are determined by the dam mete-rials and piling complexity, diseveness, difference and distandardity of anti-permeating, drainage methods.Therefore, the program calculation is very complex.
