Based On The Set Protocol, E-commerce Payment System Design And Implementation

The SET Secure Electronic Transaction protocol, which was developed jointly by Visa and MasterCard in 1997, is an electronic payment protocol using credit over open network. Now, SET becomes one of the most important industry standards in Electronic Business. SET makes use of Symmetric Key Cryptography, Public Key Cryptography or Symmetric Key Cryptography, Hash Algorithm, Digital Signature, Digital Envelope and Digital Certificate etc, so that it can guarantee the security of the payment for Electronic Business. This paper explains the principle and the basic principal and technical foundation of SET. It also describes the procedure of the Electronic Business based on SET. It introduced the design algorithm of encryptography and decryptograhy in network security which was adopted by this system, the technology of XML Web Services, the encyptograhpy and decryptograhy of WSE in Web Services and management of digital certificate ect. Then it analysed the progress of designing a system in the foundation of the procedure of the Electronic Business based on SET. And on the basis of the above analysis, the paper designs a system of the Payment System for Electronic Business. In the end, the thesis has a conclusion on research and has a view of the future' s work.
