It is a new-type high-performance radar of meeting the needs of war in the future and national economic development that wideband phased-array radar, It have a very important function in such respects as the formation of goal' image , classify discerning , following of low angle of elevation , counter-jamming and deal with antiradiation missiles.etc. This text carries on brief exposition about the signal producing , system distorted balanced that all broadband radars generally face at first, then direct against emphatically that needs to overcome the restriction of the aperture effect of the aerial and The aperture gets over time during the course of wideband phased-array radar ' realizing, divide into two respects of elements and array technology to improve, put forward that adopting thick dipole, double-layer microstrip patch antenna to realize broadband elements and the measure of broadband array technology of son arrays cutting apart and time-delay compensating. Point out that the wideband phased-array round antennas has great superiority and logical sequence in realizing the broadband performance of the radar compared with others, and has carried on the essential explanation on mutually coupling of between the units of the aerial and the optimization of scanning wave location, finally, It expound the fact that fiber-optic delay line and photoelectron technology are adopted on advanced radar and wideband phased-array radar at present, point out that optic-controlled phased array will be favored, will become the mainstream of radars because of advantage with uniqueness during the radar development in the future, and exert a far-reaching influence in developing the high-performance radar of new generation .
