Job Management System

Today, the computer technology based on network is pushing Cluster system's improvement and application. If using high-speed network to connect high-performance workstation or PC into a cluster and scheduling work, it only costs few money to get the performance equal to large scale computer or parallel computer. Job Management System introduced in this dissertation is a software system which is used to manage these workstation and PC.In the last several years, the main research field of Job Management System focuses on the research and implementation of new generation one. Many overseas companies and research institutions have been devoted to researching job management, and produce many public or commercial Job Management Systems. But there are few domestic research institutions which pay attention to Job Management System's research. During taking part in the research and development of the Job Manage System-JMS, the author has studied and discussed the theory and the implement of JMS to a certain extent. The main contents of this thesis are the follows:Firstly, based on the detailed analysis to the advantage and disadvantage of the traditional Job Management System's frame structure, the author present a three tier C/S system structure. With this structure, the communication task is handed over to the agent tier, so the application can break away from the heavy data transmission, and the Client and Server's interaction can be more flexible.Secondly, we present a concept of Job Network (JNW) to describe the complex relationship of job, as well as the arrangement and nesting relation of Job Network.Thirdly, Job Scheduling is one of the kernel functions in Job Management System, this paper analyses and expound the Job Scheduling, focusing on the design of Job Scheduling protocol, the query of Job execution information and implement of the calendar scheduling.Finally, considering the security problem of the traditional Job Management System, in this paper we give a detailed analysis on JMS Security under the platform of Windows NT. and give two solutions to resolve the problem of process security.
