The project is cooperated with Nanjing Longrun Company focusing on the research of single soldier system with the reconnaissance and communication ability. The system should have the functions of velocity measuring, positioning , fuzzy diagnosis and communication with commander, which make any soldier not only scout and combat independently but also fight in cooperation. The system may improve ability and efficiency of operation for every single soldier.Based on the hardware of embedded system and programmable processor and the concept of software radio technology, the project utilizes the Doppler radar to realize the functions above. The project relates to the fields of data acquisition, signal real time process, wireless digital communication, coding and decoding process and auto control. The paper discuss the design of hardware platform and driver in detail, furthermore summarize gain and loss of research process and give a second thought on the future work of the project.The difficulty and innovation of the project is at the assembly of so many technology, the coordinate development of the system and the optimization of the system performance.The system as the modernized arm can be equipped in both actual combat and dry run. The project is in fact an action of probing into single soldier electronic equipment and will contribute to national army modernized construction.The paper structure is as follows: Chapter 1 gives a brief survey of single soldier system development and foreign research process. Accordingly strategy of national single soldier system is provided. Chapter 2 realizes the fundamental functions with the platform of MCU to be ready for the future research. Chapter 3 analyzes the design method and thought of embedded system and provides the global frame of single soldier electronic reconnaissance and information system. Chapter 4 gives the schematic circuit diagram of every module. Chapter 5 gives the module driver realization and software flow chart. Chapter 6 introduces the considerable items of PCB manufacturing and gives the PCB of the whole system.
