| The hybrid-driven underwater glider is a new kind of underwater vehicle; it combines the best features of autonomous underwater vehicles and underwater gliders, and can be used as important platforms for marine environment observation and ocean resource exploration. Under gliding mode, the net buoyancy is changed by buoyancy-driven system, the location of the center of gravity is changed by internal attitude adjustment mechanism, and with fixed wing to make the hybrid-driven underwater glider cyclical rise and dive. And in propeller mode, it uses the propeller to achieve the hybrid underwater gliders move fast.In this paper, the propeller is successfully integrated into the underwater gliders, and we devise a hybrid-driven underwater glider. The content and result are as follows:1. The pressure hull of hybrid underwater gliders was designed; we got the minimum thickness of the pressure hull, and checked the strength of the pressure hull with ANSYS.2. The buoyancy-driven system was designed, we analyzed its work principle, and got the loss buoyancy at different depths of the sea, with the result, we determined the volume of the oil tank.3. The attitude adjustment mechanism was designed, including pitch and roll adjustment mechanism.4. We analyzed the propeller-driven system, analyzed the hydrodynamic of the whole glider, and got the water resistance, so we determined the speed of the propeller. With the detailed design, we finished the design of hybrid-driven underwater gliders. |
