For the LFMCW radar, it gets targets' information by beat method,which leads that the IF digital process of LFMCW radar is not similar to other types radar. There are two main characteristics in the IF digital processing of LMCW radar, one is the local oscillator is not a single frequency digital oscillator but a digital LFM signal, the other is analyse and design method of sample frequency is different from the usual digital down-convertor because of the particularity of the digital oscillator.In this paper, the main research work and results can be summarized as follows:Analyze the effects of the spectrum structure when different sample is applied in the IF digital receiver, draw a conclusion of how to design a proper sample frequency.Accomplishing the project design of the IF digital receiver of a LFMCW radar.Designing the hardware based on EP1C6144TC8. the results of the hardware debugging indicate that the work is effective and coincident with the system's demand.The research results indicate that the IF digital receiver system is coincident with the LFMCW radar system's demand in function. And the main parameters gained by test reach the radar system's design demand.
