Vehicle navigation system has become a fast-growing industry in recent years. In Europe and Japan, vehicle navigation system have been put in widely application. In our country, by the development of industry of Vehicle the market of the application of Vehicle navigation system is quickly increased. The developments of Electronic Commerce (EC) and Internet also enhance the trend. The resource of Internet and the information of space and EC can combined in the application of vehicle navigation system, and the combination can bring large value in the future. So the vehicle navigation system have a widely foreground.In the past, vehicle navigation system mostly get position of vehicle from Global Position System (GPS). Global Position System (GPS) is a precise system promoted. But because of limitation of GPS system for urban circumstance, the integrated navigation system for GPS and Dead-Reckoning system could achieve considerable accuracy value. And one the other hand, another question in the Vehicle navigation system is the transportation of the information of vehicle position and status. The way of transportation of the information decided the quality and price of the system in large degree. In this paper , The GPS/DR integrated Vehicle navigation system and the GPS/GSM Vehicle navigation system is discussed in this paper. This paper is composed of two parts.In first part , the GPS/DR integrated Vehicle navigation system is discussed , and a new algorithm based on Kalman filter algorithm is designed for enhance the quality of the data-fusion of GSP system and DR system. And the algorithm is proved by result of the simulation of software. In the end of this part, in order to study the GPS/DR integrated navigation system more deeply, a Data-picking hardware of GPS/DR navigation system is designed to get the real vehicle raw data .In the second part, GPS/GSM vehicle navigation system is discussed, and the designed and the realization of terminal of GPS/GSM Vehicle navigation system is described. In this part, the designation of GSM communication and power supply and vehicle status control in GPS/GSM vehicle navigation system is separately described.
