Filtering theory is an important part of the control and theory, filtering problem has beenOne of the concerned problems in application of the control theory and engineering practice.There is a large number of random signals in these areas,as marine, industrial process control,aerospace and so on. Filtering theory has been widely applied in the field. Either these signalsinclude noise inevitably or they can’t be measured directly from various reasons. Thus, toestimate the unmeasurable signals in systems with the measured output, filtering theories areproposed.In this thesis, with the study on analysis of system performance and the theory of linearmatrix inequalities (LMI), firstly, we summarize the methods of designing classical Kalmanfilter for certain system with Gaussian noise. Then, considering uncertainty of system andnon-Gaussian noise, robust-Kalman filtering algorithm based on LMI is investigated.Simultaneously, a method of designing robust-Kalman filter is concluded and the simulationof robust-Kalman filtering under a given numerical example is done. Furthermore, I studyalgorithm of robust H∞filtering based on LMI and a method of designing and simulaterobust H∞filter. The robust H∞filtering was simulated under the same numerical example.Finally, via the contrast among those simulations, the feasibilities of the filtering algorithmsfor uncertain system mentioned in this thesis are testified. At last,I study that the applicationof the Calman filter in the digital boiler temperature control system, take in the Calman filteralgorithm of temperature control part of the introduction,and establishes the mathematicalmodel, after all gives the relevant filtering equation according to the system characteristics,according to the sampling signal filtering I can get the result that effect is very good.
