Inthe fields of communication, there are many embedded applications. Thetelecommunication system equipment is the embedded equipment with the characteristicsof typical trade application in the fields of communication, and it has the characteristicsof distribution, concurrence, real time, great amount of information, high demand forresources, which has brought up higher demand for the development of embeddedsystems in the fields of telecommunication. Meanwhile, the requirement fortelecommunication business is changing constantly. So, how to develop softwarefulfilling the requirement effectively and quickly, is the problem we need to solve in theembedded software development in the fields of telecommunication. First this paper analyzes the developmentcharacteristic of embedded systems and the embedded application characteristic oftelecommunication fields to point out the importance of the embedded software platformin development of telecommunication software. Following, we introduce the evolving ofembedded software development platform in telecommunication fields to present theimportance and feasibility of object oriented technology in the development oftelecommunication software. Based on the research of object oriented technology,especially design pattern and framework, we bring up a object oriented embeddedsoftware development platform model, and finish its implementation and testing, at lastwe introduce the application of this platform in a telecommunication product.
