Eight millimeter wave linear frequency modulated continuous wave(LFMCW) Radar integrates the advantage of millimeter radar and linear frequency modulated continuous radar, and has many characteristics of simple structure, small volume, light weight , low cost , low transmitter peak power, short wavelength, wide frequency band, big product of time and frequency band, high range resolution, without range blind area, all-weather working and perfect low probability of interception, thus it is especially suitable to be used in radar image, research of target characteristic , end control and guide ,batterfield spy , scene watch etc.Based on the 8mm LFMCW radar, This thesis mainly discusses the front-end of the signal process in the system. Namely, it involves the radar echo differntial signal sampling. By using the high-resolution and high-performance analog-to-digital converter and the special PCI bus interface chip, we complete the design, test and analysis of the this sampling system. The experiment results prove that it satisfies the design demands.The main content and works of the thesis are present as follows: Design the A/D converter units by using AD9260.Design the PCI bus Interface unit by using PCI9054 chip.Complete the WDM driver program of the PCI card and the user application interface based on MFC.Complete the whole hardware and software test and analysis of this sampling system.
