Detection, Based On The Static Background Of Moving Vehicles

Traffic control is most important. Right traffic control bases on precise traffic data. How to acquire precise traffic information is the key step of intelligent traffic control.Because of easy installation, lower cost and wide scope of information supply, the computer video and image detection for traffic will replace many old methods of traffic data detection.This thesis presents a method of vehicle flow and vehicle speed detection based on video and image processing.By video camera and video capture card, the video image are transferred and digitized to digital image which could be processed by computer. After gray-scale transformation, filtering and noise reduction image enhancement, then use background self automatic adjusting technique, we can detect the traffic flow and vehicle speed by traffic-flow-detector module and vehicle-speed-detector module.
