Business Intelligence And Its Application To Explore

As an effective enabler, which promotes an enterprise to transform information to knowledge and consequently win maximal profits, Business Intelligence (BI) is attracting more and more attention. This thesis focuses on the theories and applications of BI. After a comprehensive examination of the conception, development course and capabilities of BI, the architecture, key technologies and key workflows of BI are analyzed. Underlain by these studies, several representative BI products from well-known IT software providers are investigated, and the status quo of BI's application inside and outside China is summerized. Then based on the author's practical experience in a large stated-owned enterprise, the implementation of BI in this enterprise is researched and its internal mechanism is analyzed and evaluated, moreover, some coding experiments of an explorative system that aims at the implementation of relation rules mining functions are conducted. Finally, the problems from the BI's application in China are discussed and some corresponding strategies are proposed.
