Enterprises have accumulated a large amount of business information with the rapid development of information technology and the deepening of enterprises information. As a result, it has been a challenge how to improve the ability grasping the customers'demanding information and shopping behavior characteristics through the synthesis and in-depth analysis of business information. Business Intelligence is a key solution integrating multiple technologies. Based on data warehouse, data mining and online analytical processing, it collects and manages the structured and unstructured business information data by modern information technology. After analysis, it obtains business knowledge through analysis, and makes the useful methods into action by cumulative knowledge formation continuously. In this way, it can improve decision making, business efficiency, business processes and business performance, and enhance their overall competitiveness. So business intelligence can imply decision support for the enterprises, and it is able to help the enterprises make better decision through gaining knowledge or insight for all levels of decision-makers.Retail is an important field using business intelligence, such as Wal-Mart, it has established comprehensive data collection and analysis system gradually, and constructed the technology foundation of modern business competition with intelligence-related technologies as core, and it improved the enterprise'core competitiveness. Business intelligence systems can provide authentic data to decision-making process of enterprises, and it can support knowledge of sales analysis, product analysis, customer analysis, supplier management and analysis of decision to decision-makers.The main objects of this paper are small chain business stores which are belonged to a kind of retail form between the super stores and small supermarkets, and its main features include limited size of single-store and chain store number. In order to maintain the unity of the goods and provide targeted goods and services, it is a meaningful project that establishing a business intelligence system for small chain stores, and it can design store essential goods and matching products while in the unified management.The main work of this paper includes the following several aspects:1. After summarizing the development and current situation of business intelligence and analyzing the characteristics of small chain business stores, the paper decided to construct small businesses intelligent decision system based on data warehouse, data mining and online analytical processing, and it decided data mining algorithms as core technology, and makes the business intelligence into action.2. It introduced the basic knowledge of business intelligence and more complex theoretical model. The paper exposed the basic issues comprehensively, and analyzed the application extent and forms of business intelligence, and made the technology application have a more solid foundation. It initially established the link applied among the algorithms models. It also introduced the problems of product selection and related algorithm with profit mining as core.3. Combining demand and knowledge described in the paper, it designed and implemented a business intelligence system for small chain business stores. The system has the basic function of business intelligence system, and it is not a comprehensive business intelligence analysis software platform. The system has six functions, and this paper implements multidimensional data display, the customer shopping association rules, merchandise selection and merchandise sales forecasting. And it tried to mix a variety of single-function algorithms, and formed a solution method to realer business problems.
