Using a cloud chart or a contour line chart to observe a space or flat data field of the FEM is one of the most valid methods. With VC.net, This paper developed a general software module to draw cloud chart.For the FEM data field constituted with plane elements or shell elements, use the NURBS(Non-Uniform Rational B-Spline) method which is a concept in the Computer Graphics to deal with. Then use the NURBS interface of OpenGL drawing the cloud chart.For the FEM data field constituted with solid elements, firstly form a flat data field on the slices plane. And then use Delaunay trianglization forming a flat triangle net. Finally, draw the slice cloud chart with OpenGL.
