With the increasing application of medical imaging equipment in clinical diagnose, for making good use of image information they produce and connecting medical imaging equipment to other hospital information system, it is need to make medical imaging equipment interconnected. How to manage, store, use this information and netting is emphasis of doctor, producers of medical imaging equipment studyingWith the development of IP service and application, IP network using don't adapt well the development of network. New protocol will replace the using protocol. All of software and protocol of application will be use in new protocol - IPv6, so we must study this protocol and develop DICOM software on this protocol.Medical imaging equipment netting has relation to data exchange. XML, be used as network data exchange format, must accelerate the development of netting of medical imaging equipment.The paper mainly studies digital imaging and communication 3.0 protocol. The paper discuss characteristic of IPv6 and programming technique. The paper studies the technology making use of XML to exchanging DIOCM data. On the basis of these, we have developed a software module using Visual C++, which use IPv4 and IPv6. The paper is basis of DIOCM for the next research on IPv6 and XML. The paper prospects the development and application for the research.
