Based On Three-dimensional Gis Platform For Weather Simulation System Design And Implementation

3DGIS is one of the most important branches in the field of CIS. 3D GIS is always hotspot of studies and applications since 1980s.The study fields include Database, GIS, COMPUTER GRAPHICS, and VR etc. The rapid development of 3D GIS shows the direction of GIS in the future. "SEI3DGIS" system comes from "Digital Dalian" project, and its final object is to be one 3D GIS platform.Firstly the definition of 3D GIS and its characteristics are discussed in this paper. Then the current development status and direction of 3D GIS are introduced. In the following main function, study result, characteristics and application fields of SEI3DGIS system platform are introduced. Some weather knowledges involved in weather simulation system are also introduced.The fourth chapter is the kernel part of this paper. All design and realization of "weather simulation system" are introduced. These are based on SEI3DGIS platform. The whole weather simulation system is composed of data input and data operation, improvement of organization and scheduling algorithm, realization of 3d weather simulation, organization and scheduling of weather data and visualization. The part of data operation is the base of the system. Operation process of terrain data and weather data are realized in this part. The department of organization and scheduling algorithm is to improve the terrain organization and scheduling. All these works have been done to meet the need of weather simulation system. The simulation of weather condition is accomplished in the third part. All processes of weather simulation are introduced in this part. Organization and scheduling of the weather model data are introduced in the final part.
