This paper has researched a tracking algorithm of the Track-While -Scan Radar. Including filter algorithm, tracks association, tracks quality management . In the second chapter, a new filter algorithm, kalman filter in polar coordinates has beenpresented based on the research of the kalman filter, adaptive α -β filter. Thesimulation results showed that the new algorithm required much lower computational load than kalman filter, while yielding the same accuracy as it. And the accuracy ofthe new algorithm is higher than the adaptive α -β filter. The new filter algorithmobtained is easily realized in the TWS system, which can be applied to maneuver target tracking. Then the third and the forth chapter discussed tracks association and tracks quality management. At last I simulated the tracking algorithm . From the simulation I can draw a conclusion that this tracking algorithm can be applied to the engineer and has many merit such as: commom ,lower computational load.
