JMS is a kind of middleware software based on the operation system. The major function of that is used to enforce and extend the job management function of the OS.Based on cluster technology, the architecture of the JMS and the method of implementation are analyzed and expounded detailedly. The Job Management System is provided with the typical model structure of C/S, and it is realized by three-layer architecture of Client, Communication Agent and Server. Client supplies complete Graphic User Interface, accomplishing the management of JobFlow and system. Communication agent accomplishes complete communication between client and server by TCP/IP network communication protocol and platform independent data communication protocol. Server supplies full support of JobFlow. Its superstratum is the JobFlow Definition Subsystem and JnwEngine, which is responsible for the definition and execution of JobFlow. And its understratum is the Network Queue System, which realizes the schedule and execution of job. Through the NQS, all kinds of sources in computer network system can be farthest utilized in order to improve execution efficiency and reduce job cost.The professional communication agent has improved communication efficiency greatly. On the basis of enhancing the quality of the communication, the mechanism that the communication agent identifies automatically the clients which have many different character-set scheme is improved and specific project is designed. And aiming at a great deal of data transmission, we bring forward a scheme of data compression and adopt LZ77 compression algorithm. Through this, the quantity of data transmission will be reduced and working efficiency of system will be enhanced.Additionally, we do an effective exploration about the application of cluster technique in JMS and a corresponding policy is brought forward. The architecture of ARM (Active Recovery Manager) is constructed, which promotes the reliability, expansibility and anti- calamity.
