Research And Development Of Autonomic Computing, High Availability Systems

With the communication and computer technology developing rapidly, the enterprise more and more depend on the computer system and the network technology and there is more and more request for the enterprise system. The system should have not only High Availability but also low management cost for the lowest Total Cost of Ownership. New technologies of computer comes forth greatly nowadays, such as Autonomic Computing, Cluster, Partition, Policy Based System, Network and so on. These technologies make the High availability and lower management cost possible.The author of this paper took part in the designing and implementingthe HA system which realized Autonomic Computing-Virtual OperationEnvironment, which based on the Cluster, Partition, Policy to achieve the HA and Self-Management. In the process of development, the author deeply studied the system, and then finished the paper.In the paper, firstly, we studied the theory and key technologies of Virtual Operation Environment, proposed the scheme to achieve HA and self-management and analyzed research aim of system, i. e. the system can dynamically manage resource, self healing, self optimizing according to the business requirements and load information, and self protecting. Then we made the system design, including analyzing the function and the architecture. Further, the author described the design and realization of the modules of Virtual Operation Environment system, and mainly studies design and realization of the engine, UIF and GUI module, which mainly developed by herself. Finally, analyses the deficiency of the system and the work in the future.
