Urban Planning Study Of The Experimental Platform Of The Virtual Scene

With the rising of the concept of digital city, the system of city planning had been the most prosperous technology in IT fields. Especially when it was integrated with the technology of virtual reality, the ability of city planning system was strengthened.This thesis was based on the technology of virtual reality, GIS, Object-Oriented and COM, and put emphasis on the implementation of the city planning experiment system based on virtual reality. This system included three parts: The first part was the module of converting 3D models, a method to distract, optimize and save the models' data was put forward in this part; The second module was to convert the pictures relating to the 3D models and distract and compress the data of these pictures; The last one is the module to plan and show the city models. It charged the works of inputting > editing models and building the city planning project. This module implement the encapsulation of models using COM .
