This thesis is to design a controller which can adjust the electric power wire's reactive power which is under the background of the reconstruction of the wire's reactive power compensation . As the combination of reactive power controller and electric power wire's measurement, this device's working theory is based on the real-time data of the electric power wire and it's intention is to complete the most felicitous compensation for the reactive power which exists in the 220V electric power wire. The main part of this thesis includes the ameliorating of the net which comes from the reactive power compensate, the most felicitous compensating position, and the hardware and software design.This device's hardware core is the 16-bit MCU which has many merits such as high operating speed. The software design adopts the language of PLM/96 which is a special advanced programming language and in the process of program, we use the method of modularization which can improve the universal trait of the program and simplify the device's maintenance. This device has some kinds of safeguard, such as protecting from super high voltage of the electric wire and ultra low voltage of the electric wire. Because it can store 60 days' data of the wire's parameter, this device can be used to evaluate the wire's trait. The device has simple interface of man-machine operating and it can communicate with the PDA(Personal Digital Assistant) by IrDA(Infrared Data Association).After the test of the national electricity department, this device has been put into using.
