This article deals mainly with the key parts -- the circular parts, studying how we can transform the information of the AutoCAD software or others CAD software into the instruction that the NC system of the lathe can understand and discern. That is to say, the graph information of CAD can be read and dealt with by the special-purpose data interface, On the basis of picking up some information about manufacturing, the CLF file can be generated. In anther word this is preprocessing. Then the NC codes can be generated by the post-processing. The paper is based on the analyzing and studying of a few integration projects, approaching a practical and convenient way which is based on the AutoCAD or others CAD software that can output the files as the format DXF. Through preprocessing and post-processing, the NC codes can be generated, then we can transmit the NC code into the NC system or input them into it by manual operation in order to manufacturing parts. CAD and CAM integration can be realized.
