Embedded Operating System For The Field Extension Technology Research

Embedded computers exist in many kinds of electronic devices. As the devices get more complex, embedded applications get more sophisticated. Application providers want their application have portability across platforms, surviving from limitation of specifice OS beneath. They also desire development platforms with end-industry-feature, providing low development cost. Industrial specific Embedded Operating System Extension(IEOS) can offer those capability to meet requirements in industry areas.IEOS focuses on API. It encapsulates OS application interface and extend OS functionalities, providing application with industrial features runing environment.This article investigates industrial extension reqirements, analyze POSIX realtime specification , automotive electronic operating system specification and related meterials and mobile terminate development platform(Brew). It also depicts operating system extension requirement and important architectrue: VM+Configuration+Profile and serveral implementation solutions.According to the specific requirement for a project, the article gives design description of the project implementation based on DeltaOS.
