Design And Implementation Of The Ospf Protocol Software

The OSPF protocol was developed by the OSPF working group of the Internet Engineering Task Force. It is a dynamic routing protocol based on Link-State. OSPF is classified as an Interior Gateway protocol (IGP), it only processes the routing information in an Autonomous System. This project just aims at developing the OSPF routing protocol software on vxworks operating system. The implementation of the OSPF routing protocol software was based on the platform of the developed router's software and hardware.Firstly, this dissertation introduces the concepts, principles and working processes of OSPF. Via reading and analyzing the text RFC2328, this dissertation discusses how to implement the OSPF routing protocol on vxworks operating system, including the architecture of the programme, the registration of OSPF and the implementation of some programs' modules. At last, this dissertation introduces how to testing the software of the OSPF routing protocol on various networks topology and the conclusions are drawn.
