Street Lamp Remote Web-based Monitoring System

Street lighting system is the absolutely necessary public equipment for the city construction. It has been a symbol of the modern city with street lamp monitoring system of automated , reliable , efficient , maintenance convenient and function of beautifying city. Improving the automated control and management level of street lamp with advanced technology has become more and more important during the construction of city Road lighting system.This paper did research for the web-base remote monitoring system of street lamp. It brought out the concept model of the system with four layers and put forward the system network truss as a whole. The design of monitoring system introduced application server based on the project centered with database which overcame the disadvantage of the old system and enhanced the function. On the software realization, it introduced the "PUSH" technology of XML which has the ability to push the information from the server to the client and ActiveX control which makes the people send the control instruction to system from the client through the Socket connection.
