Passive radar is a special form of Bistatic(Multistatic) Radar. It is playing a more and more important role in the radar field because of its perfect characteristics of anti-jamming, anti-ARM and anti-stealth ability. In the future Electronic War this kind of radar system obviously has the potential superiority and prospect. This paper discusses some of the key techniques of passive radar based on FM broadcast. First it discusses the arrays composed of two elements in theory and analyzes the interference canceling ability of phased arrays based on the techniques of sidelobe-suppression. It also discusses the sampling of narrowband signals and raises a deduction of the law of narrowband signal sampling. The deduction says there is a method to sample a narrowband signal efficiently with no signal distortion on the condition that the carrier frequency and signal bandwidth are given. At last it discusses the power of earth clutters at a simplified model.
