Network Monitoring Technology Research And Application

Along with the technical universality and development in network, people have to make deal with the network inevitably in study, life and work. But at thesame time a problem for allowing of no neglecting-network informationsafety management, is put in front of us. All kinds of ill information, and network crime have seriously affected the normal order of the society. We must strongly proceed to take charge of the network information. Only in this way can we purify the network world.In this paper, we discuss the concept of the network monitoring which is by making use of the network interface to capture the datagrams that belong to other destination. We describe the actuality and the future of the network monitoring development. And the design idea of the monitoring under WAN is provided. We analyze the model of capture and filter and the method of protocol analysis in detail. We summarize the factors that affect the efficiency of capture and provide protocol analysis way of two level. At last, the application example of the hotel's monitoring is given, in the instance a new authentication mechanism is provided.
