In this thesis, the measurement and control problem of Blocking Rubber Tube Testing System (BRTTS) is studied. BRTTS is used for testing the performance of Blocking Rubber Tube (BRT) under very high temperature and pressure environments simulating the under ground working conditions. BRTs are very important components and widely used in oilfield under ground devices. The deterioration in BRT performance will result in great economic loss.BRTTS includes pressure control subsystem and temperature control subsystem. In this thesis, the two parts' hardware construction and software realization are described. The electrical and specifications requirements in BRTTS are introduced. According to the user's requirements, the software used in control system must be programmed with VC++ 6.0. The hardware circuits including A/D, D/A, I/O, V/I are designed. The software modules are classified by system functions.The emphasis is put on the software design. MFC and ActiveX technology are used for the implementation of many complicated functions in the application program. The main functions are data acquisition, data processing, the real-time supervision and alarming of multi-channel temperature/pressure and system control. The software also includes dynamic data display, data management, report generation and printing, and history data-browsing functions with very good user-interface.System has been debugged and runs normally. The practical operations show that the program is of high reliability and maintainability.
